The Glass Realm

I have been working with glass for 20+ years, the past 12 years have been primarily with kiln-formed glass.

My first of many stained glass classes was at State of The Art, Knoxville.  You never forget the first time you break glass with your hands, in a controlled manner that is.

It was at a workshop held by Fountain City Stained Glass, Knoxville, that I was introduced to dichroic glass and fusing.  The shine and sparkles make it a great glass for jewelry and art pieces.

My sense of style is all over the place,  I enjoy bright colored transparent glass, soft colors, layering opalescent glasses, abstracts, geometric pieces, jewelry, bowls, dishes, wall art, garden art, etc.  Experimenting with new techniques is one of my favorite ways to spend time.  I love sharing ideas and learning through classes and webinars.

Works on these pages were each created (the glass hand cut, fired multiple times and cold-worked by hand) in my small studio in East Tennessee, with an occasional stained glass piece thrown in for good measure.
